100 Hurdles - Long Jump - 100 - High Jump - 200 - Shot Put - 400
This event is for anyone on your team. Everyone who gets registered will be accepted and the entry fee will be invoiced.
-
The event will be used as a fundraiser for paying for the LED display(s) and live results platform for the MS state meet.
-
The event is something that could be added in the future as an in person event and we are testing it's response this year.
-
This event is great for anyone who may live far away from Waupun (meet location) and geography prevents them from in person participation. Also great for an athlete who may not be able to attend for various other commitments.
-
Great event to register the athlete that the coach/parent thinks could qualify in every event at the state meet but is limited to three events.
-
The event is great for encouraging student athletes to try new/other events.
-
The event allows every school to have one or more students competing in the championship without having to qualify and they get to do seven different events.
LET'S KEEP THIS SIMPLE (but you have to read everything)
-
The Heptathlon is made up of seven events (in this case, the seven listed at the top of the page here.) A participants performances are given points/value in what are called Multi events. In a "real" multi event the athlete competes over the course of two days. This is enough detail for what we are doing here but you are all highly encouraged to look up Heptathlon / Decathlon scoring and learn more about them.
-
How it works here - You simply register the student athlete as you would register them for any of the other events. After the state meet weekend we will take the registered athletes best performance in each respective event from throughout the season and plug it into the results software to give them their points and overall standings. We will score these in the days following the state meet so that if any athlete participates in the state meet in one of the seven events and does well, those results can get submitted into the system.
-
This event does NOT count as one of your three maximum events. Enter as many athletes as you would like. Again, all will be accepted and invoiced.
-
You need to get a mark in all seven events that you wish to earn points in. If you do not do one or more of the events you will simply earn zero points which will lower your overall score.
-
Again - VERY SIMPLE - you register any athlete(s) you want. Make sure you give them opportunities to try each of the seven events over the next three weeks. We then begin scoring all of the registered athletes after the state meet concludes. We will post the scores and award winners online at adesports.com as well as email the coach via athletic.net messaging.
-
Very Nice Awards will be given to the top five point earners in both genders and each of the three grades.
THERE ARE NO QUESTIONS THAT NEED TO BE EMAILED. You register. Your kids compete in meets. We pull the results at the end of your season for each of the seven events from results on athletic.net only and score them. Students get to compete and see how well they do over multiple events and against others from throughout the state.
The hurdles and shot put are the same height and weight for each of the respective grade levels/genders as you are participating in all year. 30" hurdles x 10. Six or eight pound shot puts.
